Job description
The Finance Manager will lead and oversee the financial operations of Advans Ghana, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role entails the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, effective budget management, and supervision of robust financial controls. The Finance Manager will also play a key role in strategic financial planning, driving process improvements, enhancing data integrity, and ensuring alignment with both international and local accounting standards.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Financial Management

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure timely submission to stakeholders.

Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports to the Bank of Ghana and other relevant authorities.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and management recommendations.

Ensure accuracy and compliance of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, trial balances, and other financial records.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management

Monitor and manage company cash flows and liquidity.

Maintain strong banking relationships and ensure effective treasury planning.

Oversee bank reconciliations and foreign currency transactions.
Budgeting and Control

Support the budgeting process and ensure effective cost-control measures are in place.

Monitor expenses against budgets and analyze financial performance.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with tax laws, pension regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

Support internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
Supervision and Team Leadership

Supervise accounting and finance team members, ensuring continuous development and motivation.

Provide financial advice and insights to other departments and senior management.
GENERIC ACTIVITIES

Required profile
You have a:
Minimum Education:
- Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
