Gaëtan DEBUCHY is the Managing Director/CEO of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank. He has 20 years professional experience (20 years) in Retail Banking, Microfinance and Mobile money. He is a specialist in financial inclusion and he has worked for 8 years in Africa (Senegal and Nigeria). In Senegal, Gaëtan DEBUCHY pioneered for Societe Generale, a new affiliate (Manko) which is dedicated to people who are un-banked, he was the CEO of Manko for 7 years. He was also the CEO of Yup Senegal, the mobile money Societe Generale affiliate. Gaëtan has high interest for innovation and digitalization. In Manko all the processes were digitalized (account opening, loan appraisal and recovery). A link between the Manko account and the Yup account was set up to facilitate the repayment and attract more savings. After obtaining an Advanced Post graduate degree in Marketing from the Panthéon Sorbonne University - Paris in 1999 and a Master Business from Lille University in 1998, he worked in Societe Generale as the Head of Young market, Branch manager, Marketing and communications executive, Business Manager- migrant market, International Project Manager – Business and Network Organisation. He joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank Nigeria as the MD/CEO in August 2019 to innovate and transform the bank digitally following the national license approval.
Obinna Ukachuwku is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank. He is an Executive Management leader and a business growth expert with proven record of accomplishment in Risk Management and Business Development. Obinna provides direct leadership for our Risk Management, Back office operations, Business Development & Strategy functions.Over the years, he has demonstrated strong competence in areas of Business Strategy, SME development finance, Credit Risk Management, Sales, Supply Chain Finance, Project finance, and Commercial Banking. He was the Country head of SME Banking at Stanbic IBTC Bank; this role gave him vast local and international experience. Obinna also had a stint as the Executive Head of Business Development and Strategy at Hygeia HMO, the foremost and largest private health insurance company in Nigeria.Whilst Obinna has his bachelors in Electrical Electronic Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Nigeria, he holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester, he is a Chartered Management Accountant (UK), a Chartered Global Management Accountant and an Associate Retail Banker. As a conference speaker he has given talks on SME development finance, health finance and business growth strategies in various local and international conferences.
Jean-Luc NZOUBOU is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank(Network). He has work experience in the finance sector spanning up to 20 years, 13 of which has been spent working in the microfinance sector and had worked in different capacity. He joined Advans Cameroun as the director of Human Resources and Logistics for 5 years before joining Advans Cote d’Ivoire as the Branch Director/ Head of Network Expansion, Assistant Director of Operations in charge of network supervision, Operations and Litigation Manager and the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Jean-Luc has a Degree in Private Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Douala. He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law, Business Law option, from the University of Douala, also an MBA with a major in Human Resources Management, from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Douala; he worked at ADAR SA Company as Legal and Human Resources Consultant and after the completion of his MBA before he joined Advans Group. He joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank in 2019 taking on the role of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Network).
