Gaëtan DEBUCHY is the Managing Director/CEO of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank. He has 20 years professional experience (20 years) in Retail Banking, Microfinance and Mobile money. He is a specialist in financial inclusion and he has worked for 8 years in Africa (Senegal and Nigeria). In Senegal, Gaëtan DEBUCHY pioneered for Societe Generale, a new affiliate (Manko) which is dedicated to people who are un-banked, he was the CEO of Manko for 7 years. He was also the CEO of Yup Senegal, the mobile money Societe Generale affiliate. Gaëtan has high interest for innovation and digitalization. In Manko all the processes were digitalized (account opening, loan appraisal and recovery). A link between the Manko account and the Yup account was set up to facilitate the repayment and attract more savings. After obtaining an Advanced Post graduate degree in Marketing from the Panthéon Sorbonne University - Paris in 1999 and a Master Business from Lille University in 1998, he worked in Societe Generale as the Head of Young market, Branch manager, Marketing and communications executive, Business Manager- migrant market, International Project Manager – Business and Network Organisation. He joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank Nigeria as the MD/CEO in August 2019 to innovate and transform the bank digitally following the national license approval.
Jean-Luc NZOUBOU is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank(Network). He has work experience in the finance sector spanning up to 20 years, 13 of which has been spent working in the microfinance sector and had worked in different capacity. He joined Advans Cameroun as the director of Human Resources and Logistics for 5 years before joining Advans Cote d’Ivoire as the Branch Director/ Head of Network Expansion, Assistant Director of Operations in charge of network supervision, Operations and Litigation Manager and the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Jean-Luc has a Degree in Private Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Douala. He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law, Business Law option, from the University of Douala, also an MBA with a major in Human Resources Management, from Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Douala; he worked at ADAR SA Company as Legal and Human Resources Consultant and after the completion of his MBA before he joined Advans Group. He joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank in 2019 taking on the role of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Network).
Elvis Kwabena Oheneba is a seasoned operations, transformation, marketing and business development leader with a high reputation for delivering innovative business strategies and client focused solutions that improve margins. He has broad experience building profitable start-up divisions and branches, grow business lines, and streamline operations in some African countries. He has passion for mobilizing top-tier talent and create high performing environment that consistently achieve business objectives.
Elvis has over 15 years working experience in commercial banking and micro-finance. He was instrumental in the starting of Advans Nigeria where he managed the first two branches before becoming the deputy chief operations officer in charge of branch network management. As the Chief Business and Strategy Officer he oversees the marketing and communications department, business development department and the alternative delivery channel department of Advans Nigeria
Elizabeth Odetayo has over fifteen years of experience working in Financial Institutions. Her work experience in Financial Institution cuts across Microfinance bank and Mortgage bank.
Elizabeth is a professional Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (2nd Class Upper) from the Lagos State University. She is also a certified Microfinance practitioner.
Elizabeth has joined Advans International, La Fayette Microfinance Bank in November 2013 shortly after the commencement of the bank’s operations in Nigeria. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the development of the Advans Network in Nigeria, successively holding the position of Chief Finance Officer and also performing HR functions of the bank.
Jennifer Halim-Ubahakwe is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She is a seasoned lawyer whose repertoire spans the practice of Corporate Commercial Law, Corporate Governance and Commercial Dispute Resolution. She began her career in the law firm of G.N. Uwechue [SAN] & Co. where she honed her skills in dispute resolution; whilst in chambers, she had a bias for Oil and Gas/ Banking and Finance Law. She regularly appeared in the Superior Courts of Record, the Investments and Securities Tribunal and the ECOWAS Court. She also participated in high level arbitration both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Jennifer is both a Corporate Affairs Commission Accredited Solicitor and Securities and Exchange Commission Sponsored Individual. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association.
She headed the Legal and Compliance Department at Financial Derivatives Company Limited where she left an indelible mark in the area of compliance with Anti-Money Laundering Legislations, Reporting and Training before joining Advans Nigeria as the Head, Legal, Compliance & Governance Department.
Ohisamaye Joseph is an expertise and outstanding professional in the ICT industry. He has extensive experience with expertise in FinTech including but not limited to: e-commerce, consumer/agent products, solution designing, consumer product life cycles, analyzing and optimizing systems, and transforming business requirements into technical requirements. His professional background led him to work in Consulting, Banking and Telecom industries mainly in Asia and Africa where he managed various internal and cross-border strategic projects.
Ohisamaye has over 14 years working experience in leading various IT projects, providing customer relationship management and support. He possesses a deep understanding of how to utilize technology in order to deliver an enterprise solution that meets the requirements of the business, also possess a solid track record for leading and motivating technical professionals in order to achieve a high level of performance.
Ohisamaye Joseph is the Chief Information Officer of Advans Nigeria responsible for the digital transformation and innovation, strategic alignment between IT and business of the bank and driving the day-to-day operational excellence in an efficient manner.
Larry Ochem is a seasoned risk management expert in the financial sector with specialty in Enterprise Risk Management, Portfolio Analytics, Internal control, regulatory compliance and General Banking. He is a strong professional skilled at leading high performing teams and has proven track record of success identifying business risks, providing assurance on the integrity of control environments and designing evidence-based practices to mitigate risks and deliver institutional objectives.
Larry holds a Master Degree in Business Management from the University of Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria and an MBA in Finance & Management from Frankfurt Business School, Bankakademie HFB. He formerly held the post of Secretary General for CIBN Cross River State Chapter.
Prior to joining Advans La Fayette Microfinance bank, he worked with Accion and Ekondo Mfb where he led and steered several innovative business strategies and currently provides leadership for the Risk management department and Recovery department of Advans Nigeria.
Oluseun Tibetan is an energetic, versatile, and results-oriented professional with over 9 years’ cognate experience in both internal and external audit. She is responsible for evaluating whether the bank’s framework of risk management, control and governance processes is adequate and functioning properly. She joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank in January 2014 shortly after the commencement of the bank’s operations in Nigeria as a pioneer staff of the Internal Audit department.
Oluseun is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer, and a Certified Microfinance practitioner. She is also a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and The Institute of Internal Auditors. She holds a B.Sc (ed) - 2nd Class Upper from Tai Solarin University Of Education, Ogun State.
