Gaetan Debuchy, CEO

Gaëtan DEBUCHY is the Managing Director/CEO of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank. He has 20 years professional experience (20 years) in Retail Banking, Microfinance and Mobile money. He is a specialist in financial inclusion and he has worked for 8 years in Africa (Senegal and Nigeria).
In Senegal, Gaëtan DEBUCHY pioneered for Societe Generale, a new affiliate (Manko) which is dedicated to people who are un-banked, he was the CEO of Manko for 7 years. He was also the CEO of Yup Senegal, the mobile money Societe Generale affiliate.
Gaëtan has high interest for innovation and digitalization. In Manko all the processes were digitalized (account opening, loan appraisal and recovery). A link between the Manko account and the Yup account was set up to facilitate the repayment and attract more savings.
After obtaining an Advanced Post graduate degree in Marketing from the Panthéon Sorbonne University - Paris in 1999 and a Master Business from Lille University in 1998, he worked in Societe Generale as the Head of Young market, Branch manager, Marketing and communications executive, Business Manager- migrant market, International Project Manager – Business and Network Organisation. He joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank Nigeria as the MD/CEO in August 2019 to innovate and transform the bank digitally following the national license approval.

Elvis Kwabena Oheneba, DCEO

Elvis Kwabena Oheneba is a seasoned operation, transformation, marketing and business development leader with a high reputation for delivering innovative business strategies and client focused solutions that improve margins.
He has broad experience building profitable start-up divisions and branches, growing business lines, and streamlining operations in some African countries. He has a passion for mobilizing top-tier talent and creating high performing environment that consistently achieves business objectives.
Elvis has over 15 years of working experience in commercial banking and micro-finance. He was instrumental in starting Advans Nigeria, where he managed the first two branches before becoming the deputy chief operations officer in charge of branch network management.

Tolulope Kolade-Nwanguma, CHRO

Tolulope is an innovative and passionate people leader with over fifteen (15) years’ experience across multiple nations and sectors, including government public services, consultancy, and financial services industries.

Tolulope joined Advans Nigeria from inception in 2012 during which she led and delivered local and international projects which cut across Change Management, Process Improvement, and Organizational Restructuring amongst others.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Middlesex University, United Kingdom. Her first degree is in Chemical Engineering from LAUTECH, Nigeria.

Tolulope is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK, and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria. She is an Oracle Certified Professional and also a certified Microfinance Practitioner.

Elizabeth Odetayo, CFO

Elizabeth Odetayo has over fifteen years of experience working in Financial Institutions. Her work experience in Financial institutions cuts across Microfinance banks and Mortgage banks.
Elizabeth is a professional Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (2nd Class Upper) from Lagos State University.

She is also a certified Microfinance practitioner.

Elizabeth has joined Advans International, La Fayette Microfinance Bank in November 2013, shortly after the bank’s operations in Nigeria.
Since then, she has dedicated herself to developing the Advans Network in Nigeria, successively holding the position of Chief Finance Officer.

Jennifer Halim-Ubahakwe, Head, Legal, Compliance & Governance

Jennifer Halim-Ubahakwe is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She is a seasoned lawyer whose repertoire spans the practice of Corporate Commercial Law, Corporate Governance and Commercial Dispute Resolution. She began her career in the law firm of G.N. Uwechue [SAN] & Co.. She honed her skills in dispute resolution; whilst in chambers, she had a bias for Oil and Gas/ Banking and Finance Law. She regularly appeared in the Superior Courts of Record, the Investments and Securities Tribunal and the ECOWAS Court. She also participated in high-level arbitration both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Jennifer is both a Corporate Affairs Commission Accredited Solicitor and Securities and Exchange Commission Sponsored Individual. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association.
She headed the Legal and Compliance Department at Financial Derivatives Company Limited. She left an indelible mark in compliance with Anti-Money Laundering Legislation, Reporting and Training before joining Advans Nigeria as the Head, Legal, Compliance & Governance Department.

Ohisamaye Joseph, Chief Information Officer

Ohisamaye Joseph is expertise and outstanding professional in the ICT industry. He has extensive experience with expertise in FinTech, including but not limited to: e-commerce, consumer/agent products, solution designing, consumer product life cycles, analyzing and optimizing systems, and transforming business requirements into technical requirements. His professional background led him to work in Consulting, Banking and Telecom industries, mainly in Asia and Africa. He managed various internal and cross-border strategic projects.
Ohisamaye has over 14 years of working experience leading various IT projects, providing customer relationship management and support. He possesses a deep understanding of how to utilize technology to deliver an enterprise solution that meets the requirements of the business also possess a solid track record for leading and motivating technical professionals to achieve a high level of performance.
Ohisamaye Joseph is the Chief Information Officer of Advans Nigeria, responsible for the digital transformation and innovation, strategic alignment between the bank's IT and business, and driving the day-to-day operational excellence efficiently.

Oluseun Tibetan, Head, Internal Audit

Oluseun Tibetan is an energetic, versatile, and results-oriented professional with over 9 years’ cognate experience in both internal and external audits.

She is responsible for evaluating whether the bank’s framework of risk management, control and governance processes is adequate and functioning correctly. She joined Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank in January 2014, shortly after the bank’s operations in Nigeria, as a pioneer staff of the Internal Audit department.

Oluseun is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer, and a Certified Microfinance practitioner. She is also a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and The Institute of Internal Auditors. She holds a B.Sc (ed) - 2nd Class Upper from the Tai Solarin University Of Education, Ogun State.
